Those who know about Infinite painter are typically ones that have used it on Android tablets and phones before. Anyone that draws on an iPad knows about Procreate, Infinite painter not as much. Better Large file performance, you can work with an 8k canvas with up to 4 layers!.These videos have everything you need to know about infinite painter currently: Block in values using a paint brush with value slider, or with the fill brush with light smudging.Create a value layer and clip it into the silhouette layer.Create a new layer, use the Solid Fill Brush to quickly trace over the sketch and create a silhouette of the character ( I use this layer for selecting the character with the magic wand, and/or clipping the paint layer in).Create a sketch on a layer and turn down its opacity. Many other hidden features like pattern making tools, changing brush size and opacity with gestures, pinning tools on the screen, etc.įor my character design workflow I typically Create/import a shape of brush head you want -> Select it and click on the icon then customise it further. You can easily create a brush from a selection. You can adjust the opacity of the selection markers all the way to 0 if they are distracting.Symmetry tools ( Vertical, Horizontal, Radial, etc ) Guides: Ruler, Eclipse, Pen 1,2 and 3 point Perspective Guides etc. When painting, You can pin the colour palettes and colour picker widget anywhere on the screen so you don't have to keep clicking the top right corner to select colours like in Procreate. In Procreate you have size and opacity sliders, the undo buttons and the small (very customisable) box on the side bar. The Value slider is especially useful when you're drawing/painting in grayscale, (landscape thumbnails, storyboards etc) you get to change between all the value range by just dragging on the icon! It's not as intuitive at first IMO but much more powerful than Procreate once you get familiar with it. You can adjust Brush Size, Opacity, Colour Value, even Brush Flow and Softness by just dragging over the icons. The little side panel is more powerful in Infinite Painter. It's like quickly pinching and cutting/sculpting away parts of the drawing in single fluid strokes unlike traditional erasing. My eraser is always using the Solid Fill Brush. This is the MAIN reason I use infinite painter over procreate, Its very quick to draw silhouettes and use them as clipping and selection masks. THE FILL BRUSHES: Let you dynamically fill the shape as you draw.
